The Logistics Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for accurately picking, packing and preparing products for delivery or shipment according to established guidelines and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve ordered products from designated storage areas or shelves based on order lists or picking instructions.
  • Ensure accurate picking of items by verifying product names, descriptions, and quantities against order details.
  • Pack and secure products in appropriate containers or boxes, following packing guidelines to prevent damage during transit.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure that items meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
  • Assist in inventory management by conducting cycle counts and reporting discrepancies or stock shortages.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely handover of orders or delivery or dispatch.
  • Collaborate with supervisors or team leaders to identify process improvement and contribute to a positive working environment.

Requirements:

  • High school, diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a logistics or warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing items.
