Responsibilities

• Manage preparing and reviewing loan documentation while supporting a variety of tasks related to the loan process. Activities will include independently processing and closing loans within a complex loan operations environment.
• Be involved in providing day‑to‑day collateral management which may include booking cash transactions, making payments, and entering general ledger entries and complex calculations.
• Interact with other counterparties around positions and outstanding balances/claims.
• Support an expansive and/or diverse array of products, risk and control services.
• Follow established procedures to identify and resolve problems related to loan documentation/processing activities that require investigation or research and make recommendations to management to support process improvement.
• Design and analyze moderately complex loan documentation reports for management requirements, support/control activities, and the launch of products/services.
• Make judgments based on the analysis of factual information and provide assistance in the implementation of loan documentation process improvements.
• Minimize risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements—understand and monitor errors to suggest process improvements and adhere to audit and control policies.
• Related but not limited to loan documentation processes.
• Timely management and escalation of all inquiries and issues related to loan processing.
• Demonstrate a sound level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate/integrate with others in the team and closely related teams.
• Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of bank‑related systems.
• Have direct interaction with external customers to disseminate or explain information.
• Exhibit strong executional capabilities.
• Utilize strong communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, exchange potentially complex/sensitive information, and be sensitive to audience diversity.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior and business practices, and transparently manage and report control issues.

Qualifications

• Understanding of loan processes, procedures, products, and services.
• Basic awareness of preparing, managing, and reviewing loan documentation.
• Ability to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues.
• Awareness of various risks, policies, and control measures and processes.
• Compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations and adherence to policies.
• Bachelor’s or university degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferably can speak, read, and understand Mandarin to better serve Chinese clients.
