Job summary

A leading consultancy in oil and gas is seeking an LMP Coordinator based in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves planning and supervising all LMP activities, ensuring quality and efficiency, and providing technical guidance to the team. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in upstream operations, particularly in supervisory roles within Liquid Mud Plant operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas upstream operations.
  • At least 10 years in a supervisory or coordinator role managing Liquid Mud Plant operations.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer or Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise all LMP activities including fluid preparation and dispatch.
  • Manage daily operations for product quality and efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance to the operations team on drilling fluids.

Job description
Position: LMP Coordinator

Scope of Work
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all LMP activities including fluid preparation, storage, and dispatch to drilling locations.
  • Manage daily operations to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to the operations team on drilling fluid formulation, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Oversee inventory control of base oils, chemicals, and additives to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Liaise with drilling, logistics, and procurement teams to align plant operations with project schedules.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of LMP operations, including material tracking, performance data, and cost control.
  • Implement and maintain HSE procedures to promote a safe working environment.
  • Supervise and train plant personnel to achieve high performance and operational excellence.
  • Troubleshoot operational or technical issues related to mud systems and equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant productivity and reduce operational costs.
Minimum Requirement(s)
  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related technical field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas upstream operations.
    • At least 10 years in a supervisory or coordinator role managing Liquid Mud Plant operations.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer or Specialist.
