Job summary
Sabah Law Society in Sandakan seeks a capable legal assistant to support drafting, research and client advisory tasks. You will organize cause papers, review contracts, and help ensure regulatory compliance under supervision.
The ideal candidate holds an LLB with Bar admission, strong English and Bahasa Malaysia, and excellent attention to detail, communication and teamwork in a digital environment.
Qualifications
- Possess an LLB degree and Bar admission qualification.
- Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin a plus.
- Excellent analytical and argumentative capacities with high attention to detail in drafting, proofreading and advocacy.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Proactive mindset, highly organized, and comfortable with digital document management tools and Legal AI environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing and organizing cause papers, contracts and other legal documentation.
- Conduct comprehensive and sound legal research.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Arguing Clients’ cases in Courts.
- Giving sound and accurate legal advices to Clients.
