LITIGATION LAWYER / CONVEYANCING LAWYER / CONVEYANCING CLERK
Responsibilities:
- Attend to all Litigation matters.
- Attend court matters independently, skilled drafting, preparing cause papers, e‑filing.
- Good research in precedents, case law, court rules.
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to multi‑task, work under pressure within tight deadlines.
- Attend to clients and other legal works assigned by the Partner from time to time.
- Self‑motivated, meticulous and have an analytical mind.
- Positive attitude, responsible, trusted person.
- Work flexibly and cope with changing priorities.
- Respond receptively to receiving and acting on instructions given by the immediate supervisor.
- Provide clear, accurate and up‑to‑date information on the files.
- Monitor file management and prepare the weekly status report.
- Do works assigned by the firm from time to time.
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous and able to work independently under minimum supervision.
- Dedicated and responsible toward the job.
- Able to start immediately.
Responsibilities (Conveyancing Lawyer):
- Manage real estate transactions for both commercial and residential properties (both sub‑sale and projects) and ensure all transactions meet their legal obligations.
- Handle and manage all loan documentation for financing and re‑financing.
- Review and draft contracts and other conveyancing documents.
- Coordinate with clients, real estate agents and other parties involved in the transaction.
- Advise clients in connection with conveyancing matters and attend signing with clients.
- Follow up with banks, developers, government bodies/agencies and related parties.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures, timelines, laws and regulations.
- Monitor and follow up closely the progress for all ongoing files.
- Other tasks as assigned by the firm from time to time.
Responsibilities (Conveyancing Clerk):
- Prepare and manage documentation for property sales, purchases, transfers, and refinancing.
- Liaise with clients, real estate agents, banks, and government bodies to coordinate transactions.
- Conduct land searches, title checks, and due diligence processes.
- Draft Sale and Purchase Agreements, tenancy agreements, and other legal documentation.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely lodgement of documents with relevant authorities (e.g., land offices, stamp offices).
- Maintain accurate records and file documentation efficiently.
- Keep clients updated on the progress of their transactions and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements:
LITIGATION LAWYER
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (L.L.B) with a qualified practicing certificate with LLBS or DAIJ/DSLA/DSLP is a great advantage.
- A qualified practicing certificate as Litigation Lawyer in Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan.
- 3 years of practice.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Willing to travel at any time (inter‑state, outstation, meetings) and able to work long hours.
- Responsible, reliable, committed and with positive working attitude.
- Interest in Intellectual Property, Corporate will be an added advantage.
- Excellent speaking and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
CONVEYANCING LAWYER
- Possess Bachelor of Laws degree and current Practising Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years working experience as practising lawyer in conveyancing matters and proficiency in conveyancing procedures.
- Those just called to the Bar are encouraged to apply, on‑job training will be provided.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Possess good attitude, willing to learn and take responsibility, good communication skills and ability to work as a team.
- Manage time well and be able to meet deadline.
- Attention to details and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Preferably able to start work immediately, or within short notice.
CONVEYANCING CLERK
- Minimum SPM / Diploma in Law or related field.
- Fresh graduate encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and conveyancing software (if applicable).
- Good command of written English.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Willing to go through 1 year of contract.
