Job summary

A leading consultancy in Malaysia is seeking an IT professional with proven experience in shell scripting and SQL (Oracle-oriented). The role involves handling system alerts, developing and optimizing scripts and databases, and collaborating with teams to align IT solutions with business goals. Familiarity with middleware technologies is a plus and knowledge of ITIL best practices is preferred.

Job description

Required technical Skills :

• Proven experience in shell scripting in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Strong proficiency of SQL (Oracle-oriented)
• Understanding middleware technologies such as FTP and MQ messaging systems.
• Familiarity and knowledge of Citrix is a plus.
• Experience with job schedulers, particularly Mainframe Scheduler TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Z/OS), is a plus
• Experience with monitoring tools and incident management systems
• Understanding of ITIL framework or similar service management best practices

Main responsibilities expected:

• Run activity : handle and manage system alerts until resolution and process user 's requests (analyze and debug)
• Participate to projects and develop, maintain, and optimize scripts and SQL databases, ensuring data integrity of reconciliation applications.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure middleware components such as FTP servers and MQ messaging services and correspond with the infrastructure providers for fixes or incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in finance and technology.
