Job summary

A healthcare company is looking for a Legal and Compliance Manager to oversee legal, regulatory, and compliance functions. Responsibilities include managing corporate governance, drafting and negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with labour and safety laws. The ideal candidate has a law degree and at least 5 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably in manufacturing. The position requires strong communication skills and may involve travel and relocation.

Job description

To coordinate and manage all legal, regulatory, and compliance functions of the Group. This role ensures that the company operates within legal frameworks, minimizes commercial risks, maintains regulatory certification and supports all departments (operations, sales, HR, finance) in managing contracts and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all corporate governance matters and Board documentation.
  • Assist in coordinating, drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts (sales, supplier, distribution, logistics).
  • Assist in overseeing regulatory and product compliance.
  • Provide support to ensure compliance with labour, safety and environmental laws across operations.
  • Support HR and Operations in maintaining labour rights compliance.
  • Advise management on dispute resolution, compliance investigations or regulatory inquiries.
  • Support and coordinate with external legal advisors.
  • Develop and implement internal legal and compliance policies, procedures and training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in legal, compliance, commercial and/or corporate affairs roles.
  • Preferably experience in manufacturing and/or export/import oriented industries.
  • Proactive personality with strong communication, negotiation and documentation skills.
  • Good understanding of international trade and commercial law.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and support teams at overseas branches and offices with different international time zones.
  • Willing to relocate and travel.
