Job description

Assist in handling litigation matters including civil, commercial, corporate, or general disputes.

Prepare and draft court documents such as cause papers, pleadings, affidavits, and submissions.

Conduct legal research and case law analysis to support litigation strategy.

Assist in preparation for hearings and trials, including bundle of documents and witness statements.

2. Court Appearances

Attend case management, hearings, and trials under supervision or independently (based on experience).

Liaise with court staff, opposing counsel, and relevant authorities on case matters.

3. Client Communication

Attend client meetings with senior lawyers or partners.

Communicate with clients on case progress and gather necessary facts or instructions.

Prepare status updates and written legal opinions under guidance.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university.

Called to the Malaysian Bar (or relevant jurisdiction) with valid practicing certificate.

Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).

Excellent advocacy, drafting, and research skills.

Ability to manage multiple files and work under pressure.

Leadership qualities and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
