Job summary

Tenpower Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its operations in Malaysia. The role emphasises contract review and drafting, with exposure to corporate, conveyancing, and litigation matters in a manufacturing setting.

Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years’ experience is preferred. Fluency in Malay, English, and Mandarin will be an advantage. You will work with internal teams and external parties to ensure robust legal processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, including knowledge of Civil and Commercial Law.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Preferably 1–2 years of experience in a similar position or within the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience or exposure in corporate, conveyancing, and litigation matters is an advantage.
  • Strong research, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, achievement-driven, and customer service-oriented.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, resourceful, and willing to learn.
  • Able to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively in Malay, English, and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, maintain, and safeguard company drawings, documents, and legal records to ensure proper documentation and easy retrieval.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts and other legal documents to minimize legal and contractual risks.
  • Record accurate meeting minutes, including key decisions, actions, responsibilities, and agreed timelines.
  • Assist in handling disputes, claims, and other legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research and provide support on legal and compliance-related issues.
  • Identify potential legal risks and recommend appropriate actions to minimize exposure.
  • Support the company in corporate, conveyancing, litigation, and other related legal matters.
  • Maintain proper legal documentation and ensure records are updated accurately.
  • Work closely with internal departments and external parties when required.
