Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for undertaking teaching, research, scholarly activities, and academic development.
• Provide direction, leadership, and day-to-day management of educational activities.
• Conduct clinical assessment /practical examination or Objective Structured Clinical Examination when due.
• Monitor student report progress in terms of academic performance and attendance.
• Set examination papers and maintain quality standards.
• Provide student support activities such as tutorials, mentoring, and educational counselling sessions.
• Participate in curriculum review and accreditation process.
• Observe nursing students in clinical posting if necessary.
• Assist in marketing activities to promote nursing programs.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor in Nursing and holds a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
• A registered nurse with the Nursing Board of Malaysia.
• Possess post basic qualifications in Midwifery, Community Health Nursing or Gerontology.
• Minimum of 5 years clinical working experience as a registered nurse.
• Possess a teaching methodology certificate is an added advantage.
