Job summary

An esteemed educational institution in Kuala Lumpur seeks a law educator with a Master or Doctorate to teach and supervise students. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of university teaching experience, especially in corporate and cyber law. The role includes ensuring compliance with academic standards and conducting research. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses.
  • Supervise student projects and assist with assignments.
  • Design and execute assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Provide feedback to students during consultations.
  • Ensure programmes comply with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain partnerships with foreign university partners.
  • Conduct research as discussed with Head of Department.
  • Publish and present papers at conferences.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • To teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses delivered by the Department.
  • To supervise student projects and assist them in understanding assignment requirements.
  • To design and execute formative and summative assessment including marking that is aligned with student learning outcomes.
  • To provide feedback to students on their learning through student consultations.
  • To ensure programmes are in compliance with relevant quality and regulatory standards.
  • To maintain strong partnership with foreign university partners to support programme delivery and collaboration.
  • To conduct research in areas as per discussion with Head of Department.
  • To publish papers and present papers at local and international conferences.
  • Other duties within the Department as required.
Preferred qualification, experience and job competencies
  • Minimum Academic Qualification
    • Candidates must possess at least a Master or Doctorate in Law from a recognized institution.
    • Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or Bar (Malaysia or equivalent jurisdiction) is highly desirable.
  • Experience
    • At least 5-7 years teaching at university level.
    • Experience with corporate law and cyber law is an advantage.
  • Core Competencies

    • Knowledge of MQA standards and regulatory requirements.
