Job summary

SEGi University in Malaysia seeks an experienced academic to prepare undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum, supervise research, manage LMS, and contribute to assessments and accreditation. The role includes developing lesson plans, assignments, and tests, as well as supporting knowledge transfer and funding activities.

The candidate should hold a Master in Pharmacy (Clinical Pharmacy) with a Basic Degree in Pharmacy, have at least 3 years of related experience, and possess strong English

Qualifications

• Master degree in Pharmacy with a focus on Clinical Pharmacy.
• Bachelor degree in Pharmacy.
• Minimum 3 years of related working experience.
• Good presentation and strong command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare undergraduate lesson plans, schemes of work, tutorials, assignments and class discussions.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students on research activities and grants.
• Utilise the learning management system to maximise student learning.
• Prepare test/examination questions with marking schemes in a timely manner.
• Prepare/update portfolio for each course taught.
• Undertake and contribute to research and scholarly projects.
• Engage in knowledge generation and exchange activities.

Job description

To prepare undergraduate lesson plans, schemes of work, tutorials, assignments and class discussions.

To supervise undergraduate & postgraduate students on research activities and grants.

To utilize the learning management system to maximize student learning.

To prepare test/examination questions together with appropriate marking scheme in a timely manner.

To prepare/update portfolio for every course taught.

Research

To undertake and contribute to research, conducting individual research or collaborating with others.

To conduct individual or collaborative scholarly projects.

To engage in knowledge generation, knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer activities.

To identify sources of funding and contribute to the process of securing funds for own research or scholarly projects.

Administration and other activities

Be responsible for quality, audit and other external assessments in own areas of responsibility.

Take responsibility for programme accreditation processes.

Ensure that operational processes such as timetabling, assessment and examinations are managed.

Requirements:

Possess a Master Degree in Pharmacy Majoring in Clinical Pharmacy and with a Basic Degree in Pharmacy.

Minimum 3 years of related working experience.

Good presentation skills with strong command in written and spoken English.

It will be an added advantage if the candidate registered with Pharmacy Board Malaysia or of the Country.

Those with relevant experience in tertiary education would be an advantage.
