A leading home furnishing retail group is seeking a Leasing Manager in Malaysia. You will develop and execute leasing strategies, lead the leasing team, and conduct market research to align tenant mix with the overall mall strategy. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree, extensive experience in leasing, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in multiple languages. My client is a leading China-listed home furnishing and building materials retail group, operating over 400 large-scale shopping malls across China. In 2024, they began expanding globally, successfully launching stores in Macau and Cambodia. Now, the group is bringing its renowned one-stop home furnishing shopping concept to Malaysia — aiming to elevate local home living quality through an integrated retail experience of furniture, décor, renovation, and lifestyle.
Develop and execute leasing strategies to attract suitable tenants in furniture, home décor, renovation, and lifestyle categories.
Identify, approach, and negotiate with potential tenants such as Harvey Norman, SenQ, Maju Home, members of Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Furniture Association, MIIP, MIID, and other industry partners.
Ensure tenant mix aligns with our brand positioning and overall mall strategy.
Build and lead the leasing team to achieve occupancy and revenue targets.
Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluation to enhance team productivity and professionalism.
Coordinate tenant fit‑out, renovation, and construction progress to ensure timely opening.
Work closely with operations, design, and project management teams to resolve leasing and tenant-related issues efficiently.
Conduct market research on competitors, rental trends, and tenant performance.
Propose strategic improvements to leasing plans and promotional activities.
