Job summary

A global leader in production technology is seeking a Production Team Lead in Ipoh, Malaysia. This role involves leading the production team to ensure effective delivery of Roadm products. Key responsibilities include supervising the production line, executing build plans, and addressing quality issues. The ideal candidate has a relevant bachelor's degree and significant experience in a high volume production environment. This position is fully onsite, promoting a collaborative and accountable work culture.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in high volume high mix production environment.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain production line according to procedures.
• Execute production build plans and monitor product line processes.
• Identify and report any quality problems with materials or processes.
• Drive timely kitting and completion of jobs against delivery schedule.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Lead the Production team for overall production delivery of Roadm products.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain production line in proper order, following procedures and control plan all the time.
• Execute production build plans & activities according to timeline. Participate to continuously monitor and improve the product line processes & quality.
• Provide the necessary support and coordination to pilot build of new products for timely completion.
• Identify, quantify and report any quality problem with materials and / or processes for seeking solution from the team.
• Drive relevant counterparts (e.g. Main Store, Finished Good & etc) for timely kitting and completion of jobs against customer delivery schedule.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor from time to time.

Education & Experience

• A Bachelor Degree in Business Admin / Economics / IE / Production Management or its equivalents with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in high volume high mix production environment managing production with at least 3 years in supervisory position.

Skills

• Leadership capabilities to manage a production team of supervisor, line leaders & operators.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving.
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Ipoh.
• Experience working with Oracle/ ERP/ SAP/ MRP tools is a bonus.
• Experience working on lean manufacturing and quality improvement projects is a bonus.
