Lead Structural Engineer - Offshore Platforms

Location: Kuala Lumpur / Site (as required)

Employment Type: 2-Year Contract

Overview:

Lead all structural engineering activities for offshore topsides, jackets, and modules, ensuring technical integrity, constructability, and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead structural engineering team throughout all project phases
• Develop and maintain structural design basis, philosophies, and documentation
• Review and perform structural analyses using SACS, STAAD.Pro, SESAM, or equivalent
• Review and approve structural drawings, material take-offs, and construction specifications
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams for integrated solutions
• Provide guidance to fabrication, procurement, and construction teams
• Participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, constructability assessments, and risk evaluations
• Mentor junior engineers

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
• 15-18 years' experience in structural engineering, with 8+ years offshore
• Strong expertise in offshore structural design and foundation engineering
• Proficient in SACS, STAAD.Pro, SESAM, or equivalent
• Knowledge of API RP 2A, ISO 19902, DNV, AISC, AWS standards
• Proven leadership of structural teams on large EPC or EPCI projects
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
