Job summary

Hunters International is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee the design and drafting functions for solar and renewable energy projects, guiding a mix of junior and senior staff to deliver high-quality engineering deliverables.

You will lead EPC project design activities, ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with project, procurement, and contracts teams to keep design on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• 8+ years of engineering experience with supervision of design teams.
• Experience with solar or renewable energy EPC projects preferred.
• CGPV certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of drafters, design leads, and drafting managers.
• Allocate workload to ensure timely project delivery.
• Mentor staff to enhance technical competency.
• Conduct performance evaluations and establish KPIs.
• Review and supervise designs for solar PV & renewable systems.
• Ensure designs meet specifications, standards, and regs.
• Approve final design packages for clients or construction handover.
• Coordinate with Project, Procurement & Contracts teams.
• Provide updates on progress, risks and technical issues.
