Job summary

CGC Malaysia is seeking an experienced Audit & Data Analytics professional to reinforce the Internal Audit Department. You will assist supervisors in planning, executing and reviewing IAD data analytics audits and DA activities to deliver insights and strengthen controls.

The role requires strong knowledge of data analytics, risk assessment, and supervisory capabilities, with hands-on experience in data analysis tools such as ACL and a solid foundation in IT/Accounting/Finance.

Qualifications

• 8 years’ experience in DA/auditing with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Professional certifications such as ACDA, CISA or CIA.
• Relevant tertiary education in IT/Accounting/Finance or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Lead in planning and administration of audit and DA assignments to achieve the objectives.
• Analyse and identify key risks and develop appropriate audit programmes and tests for review and approval.
• Conduct preliminary assessment of auditable areas; interview appropriate personnel; determine data requirements; accumulate, verify and analyse available data; observe actual practices and evaluate operational function.
• Identify cause of lapses and weaknesses; investigate, analyse and identify possible solutions or avenues for improvement and recommend best practices.
• Communicate regularly with immediate superior on progress of work assigned.
• Communicate with auditees at appropriate level on findings/recommendations.
• Provide guidance and instructions to audit team members and review their work so as to ensure that audit assignments are conducted efficiently within allocated time.
• Where there are indications that the audit cannot be completed within the time planned, inform supervisors and agree revised timing with supervisors or CIA.
• Ensure working papers are properly organised and documented to meet IAD-established procedures.
• Assist in/conduct entrance and exit audit meetings.
• Prepare draft audit reports with appropriate recommendations for review.
• Assist supervisors finalise audit report for prompt issuance.
• Ascertain and report in a timely manner whether corrective actions are taken by auditees.
• To prepare/review draft DA audit reports.
• Undertake any other work required by management with approval of the immediate superior
