Provide professional individual and group counselling services to students on academic, personal, emotional, and psychological issues.
Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and maintain accurate and confidential case records.
Manage and monitor high risk and crisis cases, including referrals, follow-ups, and coordination with relevant internal and external agencies.
Ensure counselling services comply with professional ethics, confidentiality standards, and institutional policies.
Plan, organize, and implement counselling-related programs, workshops, talks, and mental health awareness campaigns.
Support preventive and developmental initiatives focusing on student resilience, stress management, and overall well-being.
Collaborate with student development teams, clubs, and associations to integrate mental health elements into student activities.
Lead and oversee the Counselling Unit under the Student Affairs Department.
Plan, coordinate and monitor the unit's operations, workload distribution, and service delivery.
Provide guidance, supervision, and professional support to counsellors, interns, or related staff (where applicable).
Contribute to the development, review, and improvement of counselling policies, procedures, and service frameworks.
Work closely with academic staff, deans, student affairs officers, and support units to identify and support students at risk.
Liaise with external professionals, service providers, and relevant agencies when referrals or partnerships are required.
Provide consultation and advice to staff on student mental health and well-being matters.
Prepare regular reports, statistics, and analysis on counselling cases, trends, and program outcomes.
Monitor service effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance student support systems.
Contribute to institutional committees or task forces related to student well-being, mental health, or crisis management.
