Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) invites a Senior Software Engineer to join the Compliance Technology domain, within the FMF team. You will contribute across the full SDLC, lead design and implementation, and mentor juniors while coordinating with vendors and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes delivering robust compliance solutions, scripting, SQL queries, and integration with payment systems. Prior banking/financial services experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a senior or lead software role in banking or fintech.
• Experience with vendor products in enterprise environments.
• Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting and SQL skills; Java for fixes and enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and maintenance of FMF-related applications.
• Perform impact analysis, design, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate with vendors, testing, infra and compliance teams for deployments.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure timely delivery.
• Document technical specs and deployment procedures.
