Sandisk in Penang seeks an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing professional to guide electromechanical commodity strategies across regions and drive supplier performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 8+ years in global sourcing, and strong negotiation, ERP (SAP), and cross-functional leadership across time zones.

• Managing electromechanical commodities such as Foundry / DRAM / PMIC / EE / Mechanical / DAF / Compound.
• Define and execute commodity/supplier strategies for Sandisk locations/regions.
• Lead purchasing market activities and engage suppliers and new technologies.
• Track and manage capacity; coordinate with supply chain to avoid capacity issues.
• Work with suppliers on monthly FCST, long-term capacity negotiations, and terms.
• Support NPI, supplier quality, supply chain for supplier issues.
• Lead Clear-to-build and line-of-balance projects to ensure material readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review MEIO levels and shortages.

Description

The ideal candidate will have strategic commodity supply management experience across electromechanical commodities (Foundry / DRAM / PMIC / EE / Mechanical / DAF / Compound etc). He/she need to have experience in semiconductor/Electronic industry. He /she need to have experience in working with cross-functional teams across various regions. He /She should have a successful track record of managing suppliers at all levels of management to achieve objectives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Experienced in managing electromechanical commodities such as Foundry / DRAM / PMIC / EE / Mechanical / DAF / Compound etc. and conduct daily escalation management if necessary
• Assist GCM continuously in defining and executing commodity/supplier strategies for all Sandisk locations/regions to have good healthy supplier panel across all regions
• Leading purchasing market activities and work closely with internal stakeholders to support the business growth by identifying and engaging suppliers and new technologies
• Tracking and managing generic parts capacity on regular basis. Assess and plan addition of capacity by working closely with supply chain and regional procurement team ensuring no capacity issues. Ensure no geographical issues impact capacity booking & utilization
• Need to work with supplier for monthly FCST commit, long term capacity nego, supplier agreements, General Terms and Conditions Agreement, smart lead time, VMI etc
• Support NPI team, supplier quality, supply chain and regional procurement team for supplier related issues (Comprehensive ownership of supplier performance) or to generate good ideas
• Lead Clear-to-build and Line-of-balance projects on regular basis to ensure NBM material readiness
• Work with cross function team to review & control overall MEIO (safety stock) level, managing excess & shortage related issues

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 8 years+ experience in Strategic Sourcing / Global supply management
• Good at buying, negotiation, and agreement/contract administration

Skills

• Good analytical skills on Microsoft software (Excel / PPT / PBI / Copilot) and ERP system (SAP)
• Demonstrated ability to manage / lead multiple projects and changing priorities
• Willing to stretch and work with different time zone as an effective team participant
• Able to challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas
