Job summary

A leading energy company in Selangor is seeking a Laboratory Testing professional to conduct laboratory tests, manage equipment, and ensure compliance with HSE standards. The ideal candidate has a diploma in relevant fields, at least 1 year of experience, and strong analytical skills. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and may involve shift work.

Qualifications

Job description
Position: Laboratory Testing
Industry: Oil & Gas
Location: Bangi, Selangor
Scope of Works:
  • Commission, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and testing equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conduct laboratory testing, sample analyses, and quality checks to support project and research objectives.
  • Collect, record, and analyze experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all results.
  • Prepare test reports and maintain detailed documentation of laboratory activities and findings.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and standards.
  • Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., HS, mercury) using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety protocols.
  • Participate in equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory operations and data management.
Minimum Requirement(s):
  • Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Science, or Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a laboratory or testing environment.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and HSE compliance standards.
  • Hands‑on experience with laboratory instruments and sample analysis methods is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and good documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Information:
  • Exposure to hazardous materials requires strict adherence to PPE and safety guidelines.
  • May be required to work in shifts or extended hours depending on project needs.
