Job description
Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician to join our team specializing in cutting-edge display and imager (camera) design. The successful candidate will provide essential technical support in measurement, characterization, and general lab maintenance, ensuring the quality and performance of our display and imaging systems. This role requires a solid foundation in electrical engineering and hands on experience with laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Display Measurement Support:
    • Perform various optical and electrical measurements on display panels (e.g., brightness, contrast ratio, color gamut, viewing angle, response time).
    • Set up and operate specialized display measurement equipment (e.g., colorimeters, spectrophotometers, microscopes).
  • Camera (Imager) Measurement Support:
    • Assist engineers in performing image quality and sensor characterization measurements on camera modules and imaging systems.
    • Support the setup and maintenance of imager test benches and lighting environments.
  • Display Noise Measurement:
    • Execute specific measurements to characterize and quantify noise artifacts (e.g., temporal noise, spatial non-uniformity) in display panels.
    • Document and report noise-related measurement results accurately.
  • Other Support (General Lab Operations):
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory working environment.
    • Manage inventory of components, tools, and test fixtures.
    • Assist in the documentation of test procedures, data collection, and report generation.
    • Perform basic electrical tests, debugging, and troubleshooting on display and imager circuits/prototypes.
    • Perform basic soldering, rework, and assembly tasks on Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and test fixtures.
Qualifications
  • Essential Qualifications and Requirements
    • Education: A Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Physics, or a related technical field.
    • Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in a laboratory or R&D environment, ideally involving electrical or optical measurements.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Proficiency in operating standard electrical lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Power Supplies, Function Generators).
      • Basic knowledge of electrical circuit analysis and troubleshooting.
      • Familiarity with optical measurement principles and/or camera operation is a significant plus.
      • Competency in using PC-based software for data logging and analysis (e.g., Excel, basic scripting).
    • Soft Skills:
      • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting procedures and results.
      • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
      • Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and lab organization.
