About the Role

Culmen International is hiring a qualified Laboratory Technician in Malaysia to provide scientific and technical services to an international Department of Defense medical contract.


The objective of this contract is to provide clinical site management and in-country clinical research operations and scientific laboratory support for surveillance, epidemiology, and intervention studies, sample collection, and laboratory testing in field sites. This effort is a cooperative and collaborative project involving committed partner countries to include the United States.


What You’ll Do in Your New Role

Directs and coordinates all the laboratory operations; verifies the completed laboratory-related documents required by the study protocols, other study documents (site annex, operating guidelines/manuals, or equivalent), study specific procedures (SSPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs); directs specimen data management; develops, revises, and/or reviews study protocols, other study documents (site annex, operating guidelines/manuals, or equivalent), Study Specific Procedures (SSPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); ensures that all laboratory equipment are operated and maintained following the equipment SOPs; ensures the availability of appropriate laboratory materials and office supplies; ensures proper utilization of the laboratory facilities; and performs other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience or three to four years of work experience in biomedical sciences preferred.
  • Trained and Certified TBM (Transport of Biomedical Material)
