Job summary

A leading agricultural technology company is seeking a candidate to assist in research work within the Pest and Disease Department. The role requires handling insects and other related pests, contributing to trial works, and supporting laboratory maintenance. Applicants should have a diploma in relevant fields and good command of both English and Bahasa Malaysia. You will be involved in data collection, setting up trials, and adhering to strict safety protocols while handling agricultural chemicals and pests.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM/ STPM/ Pre-Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma in Agriculture/Aquaculture/Forestry, Biotechnology, Computer Science/IT, Geographical Science, or equivalent.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Computer literate.

• Assist Officer in research works in the Pest and Disease Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist Officer in research works in the Pest and Disease Department. Most works are related to handling of insects but may include other pest and disease related subjects.
• To be involved in helping the Officer in carrying out trial works such as setting trial, sampling, and implementing treatment. Assist in data collection and recording.
• Assists in laboratory works, safety, and upkeep as required.
• Must be willing to handle chemicals, agricultural pests (including insects and mammals) and agricultural diseases.
