Responsibilities
  • Prepare and conduct laboratory testing, experiment samples, and trial sample preparation in the HB Fuller technology line of Hot Melt chemistry, including securing raw materials, preparing samples, measuring physical properties, and testing performance properties with R&D laboratory equipment.
  • Perform highly hands-on, lab bench work and maintain test equipment in good order.
  • Manage the inventory of raw materials, standard substrates and finished products.
  • Maintain a clean lab environment through 5S practices.
  • Generate SOPs for tests and equipment operation within their responsibility.
  • Perform complex, simultaneous laboratory tasks and procedures accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow employees, suppliers and customers; solve problems from basic form to satisfactory conclusions with minimal supervision.
  • Be flexible and able to quickly reprioritize and organize daily work based on changing business needs.
  • Fulfill responsibilities as required by the Planview, Quality Management System, Safety Practices, and SOPs for the site, laboratory and technical center.
