Job summary

A leading staffing firm is looking for a Lab Operation Technician for a maternity cover from January to May 2026 in Selangor, Malaysia. This role involves executing laboratory tests, managing laboratory operations, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Candidates should possess a diploma in Food Science or related fields, alongside good analytical and communication skills. Experience in the FMCG or food manufacturing sector is a plus. Shift schedule includes rotating shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Execute laboratory testing and report any issues to QA.
  • Manage laboratory inventory and ensure good practices are followed.

Job description
Lab Operation Technician (Maternity Cover) | Jan - May 2026 | RM 2,300

Execute laboratory testing: Support daily laboratory testing activities such as particle size distribution, moisture, fat, viscosity and other analytical tests. Report any out of specification to QA Executive immediately for further actions.

Support shift laboratory operations (morning/night) as per assigned schedule.

Manage laboratory to ensure 5S in practice in place. Manage the inventory of the consumables in laboratory.

Back up for other technicians when required.

Manage records and samples keeping properly to ensure easy retrievable when required.

Conducts internal audit and participates in external audits (when required).

Perform other tasks as assigned by the Quality or Laboratory Lead.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Food Science / Food Technology or related field
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills and able to work in a team.
  • Precise and efficient.

Added advantages if:

  • have experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environment
  • have knowledge on GMP & HACCP, ISO22000 or FSSC 22000.
  • have prior experience i microbiology laboratory testing.

Shift Schedule: 3 shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am), 4 days working 1 day rest day.
