Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced L2 SOC Analyst - Sentinel to monitor security incidents using Microsoft Sentinel SIEM and conduct phishing investigations. You will collaborate with IT and security teams to strengthen the security posture and respond to incidents in a hybrid work environment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The role requires 3+ years in SOC, strong Microsoft security knowledge, and familiarity with EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewalls. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Malaysia. Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a SOC Engineer/Analyst, including at least 1 year in an L2 SOC role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel SIEM.
• Good understanding of Microsoft security components and SIEM architecture.
• Knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Hands-on experience in phishing email investigation.
• Experience in security monitoring and incident response.
• Familiarity with EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security.

• Apply the NIST Cybersecurity Framework within security operations.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams on security incidents and process improvements.

• Practical experience with KQL (Kusto Query Language).
