Responsibilities
  • Operate circular knitting machines (Class 20) during assigned shifts, ensuring proper operation, maintenance, repair, and active participation in the knitting process.
  • Repair and adjust warp machines, replenishing them with primary yarns after maintenance or adjustment.
  • During warp machine repairs, inform the unit manager of required machine parts and provide an estimated repair time once parts are available.
  • Maintain the technical condition of twisting machines and ensure smooth yarn twisting processes.
  • Receive properly twisted yarns from the warehouse for technical use.
  • Perform visual quality checks on twisted and untwisted yarns prior to their use in the knitting process.
  • Load circular knitting machines with twisted and primary yarns.
  • Stop the knitting machine and troubleshoot causes when knitting errors are detected.
  • Replace poor-quality yarns with high-quality alternatives and report the issue to the chief engineer.
  • Adjust knitting machine components, change needles, modify yarn tensions, change knitting patterns, and prepare machines for the intended production.
  • Notify the chief engineer promptly and assist the knitting machine manufacturer’s representative in the event of complex malfunctions.
  • Cut knitted material after production, roll it into rolls, and place them in designated storage locations.
  • Remove unused threads, clean and organize the knitting machine after use, and ensure proper routine technical operation.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Engineering(Mechanical) or similar fields.
  • Vocational education in textiles or a mechanical discipline
  • Ideally, at least five years of work experience in textile knitting
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively through various channels
  • Proficiency in ENGLISH communication and interpersonal skills. Physically fit.
