An event-management company based in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced kitchen operations manager to oversee quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in Chinese roast or hot kitchen operations, strong leadership skills, and effective communication in Mandarin. You will manage a team, control production schedules, and ensure compliance with hygiene standards. This position includes a performance bonus and meals provided.

Job Description
Oversee overall kitchen and production operations to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and output standards.
Lead, supervise, and train a kitchen team of 5–10 staff to maintain smooth and disciplined daily operations.
Manage daily production of roast meats and hot kitchen items, ensuring product consistency and food quality.
Plan and control batch production schedules to meet daily operational and business demands.
Take full responsibility for inventory management, including stock planning, stock checks, ordering, and wastage control.
Implement and monitor strict cost control measures, tracking kitchen performance through EBITDA and key operational KPIs.
Develop, test, and refine new menu items in collaboration with management.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards in accordance with HACCP or central kitchen requirements.
Work closely with the operations team to align kitchen output with overall business needs and growth plans.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in Chinese roast and/or hot kitchen operations.
Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing and supervising teams of 5–10 staff.
Willing to work on overtime (2-4 hours).
Familiar with cost control, batch production, and kitchen production planning.
Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking customers.
Experience with HACCP or central kitchen operations is an added advantage.
Compensation
Working Hours Daily: 6AM-4PM, with 1 hour break (Close ± 30 minutes)
Working Days: 6 days/ week, one weekday off per week
Performance Bonus (Based on Net Kitchen Profit)
