Job description
Help Little Hands & Big Hearts Grow
Join Us as a Waldorf Kindergarten Teacher

Young children are naturally curious, imaginative, and eager to explore the world. In a Waldorf kindergarten, we honour this early stage of development by creating a nurturing, rhythmic, and wonder-filled environment. At TongXin Waldorf School, we are looking for a full-time Kindergarten Teacher who will foster a safe, joyful, and creative space for young children to thrive. Your role will be hands-on and heart-centred—helping guide children through their daily rhythms, encouraging their social and emotional growth, and assisting in activities that engage their senses and imagination.

A Supportive Role - With Growth Every Step of the Way

You don’t need prior experience in Waldorf education—just a deep love for working with young children and a willingness to learn. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to observe, assist, and grow as an educator, while being part of a caring, collaborative team. Training and mentorship will be provided.

What You\'ll Do (With Warmth & Guidance)
  • Create a Calm, Inviting Space – Set up, tidy, and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom where children feel safe and inspired.
  • Guide Daily Rhythms & Routine – Support children through meals, rest, play, and transitions with consistency and care.
  • Encourage Social & Emotional Growth – Foster kindness, patience, and confidence, modelling respectful communication.
  • Engage in Hands-On Activities – Lead storytelling, crafting, movement, and nature-based learning, nurturing curiosity and creativity.
  • Supervise & Care for Children – Provide gentle guidance and support, ensuring each child feels seen and valued.
  • Support Seasonal Festivals & School Life – Help bring meaningful traditions to life, strengthening the sense of wonder and belonging.
  • Observe & Communicate – Notice moments of growth and learning, sharing insights with parents and the other Kindergarten teachers.
  • Contribute to School Life – Join a supportive, engaged team where teachers, students, and parents learn and grow together.
Who We\'re Looking For
  • A caring, patient, and attentive educator who enjoys working with young children.
  • Someone who can follow the principle's guidance while also taking initiative when needed.
  • A strong team player who values open communication and collaboration.
  • Organised and reliable, with the ability to help maintain a structured yet flexible classroom environment.
  • Open to learning about Waldorf education principles and incorporating them into daily interactions with children.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working with young children in a school, childcare, or playgroup setting (preferred).
  • Basic training or certification in early childhood education (preferred but not required).
  • Fluency in English and another language preferred (e.g. Malay, Chinese & Hindi).
  • Creative, hands-on skills such as storytelling, handcrafts, music, or movement are a plus!
A Place to Grow - With the Children & the Community

This is more than a job—it’s a chance to be part of a school that cherishes warmth, connection, and the magic of early childhood. Apply today and bring your head, heart and hands to a classroom filled with wonder!
