A leading semiconductor manufacturer in Malaysia is looking for a Sales Manager to manage relationships with key customers and drive strategic growth plans. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in sales or project management, strong communication skills in English, and experience in the semiconductor industry. Responsible for sales budget and growth in assigned key customers
Deepen relation with specified strategic customers. Searching for a lot of new prospects is not so prioritized
Owe a key hub function of connecting key customers and internal business units (factories)
Lead project management for key customers to improve customers’ trust and satisfaction continuously
Develop and execute strategic business growth plans tailored to market trends and customers’ expectations, aiming to long-term share growth in key customers as a strategic partner
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships
Manage, instruct and coach executive members who work for you to ensure project executions and deliverables in expected quality and timely manner. Stimulate their growth to make your team more capable
Coordinate with business units (factories) to secure timely and accurate outputs for project items from key customers
Facilitate technical and commercial discussions with customers during product introduction phases and in cases of escalation of problems regarding quality, delivery etc., collaborating closely with internal business units (factories) to deliver effective solutions
Prepare project reports and customer‑facing presentations; support plant visits and technical reviews to enhance the customers’ experience.
Maintain and update the project tracking database, ensuring accuracy and visibility
Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitors to inform business strategies
Provide regular reporting to senior management on customers’ projects and market conditions
Escalate to upper management in appropriate timing, when the situation gets worse and out of your manageable level
3+ years of experience in sales or project management in B-to-B business of industry
Experience and knowledge of metal fabricated part processing and application
Focusing on achieving sales budget despite challenges
Strong customer communication and relationship management skills
Skilled in project coordination and cross‑functional teamwork
Familiar with “build to print” and OEM types of business processes
Good understanding of the semiconductor supply chain
Experience with new opportunity exploration, RFQs, new product introductions (NPI) and high‑volume manufacturing (HVM) transition
Proficient in English; strong presentation skills
Mandarin proficiency will be an advantage
Results‑driven, organized, proactive and critical thinking
