Job summary

Tune Protect Group Berhad is seeking a passionate Junior Software Developer to join our Kuala Lumpur team. You will develop, maintain, and enhance web applications and APIs using C# and .NET, collaborate with internal teams and clients, and grow your technical skills with hands-on projects.

You will work across RESTful and SOAP APIs, support front-end integration, write clean code, participate in Agile ceremonies, and help with documentation. A 3-year track record is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Minimum 3 years of software development experience using C# and .NET.
• Experience building RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of MSSQL and queries/stored procedures.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and Jira.
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance RESTful and SOAP APIs using C# and .NET technologies (.NET Core and .NET Framework).
• Support the integration of front-end applications with backend APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following development standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and system defects.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and deliver solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system workflows and code references.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile development activities.
• Use Jira and other project management tools to track tasks and project progress.
• Support ongoing system enhancements, maintenance, and deployments.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications and APIs while working closely with internal teams and clients. This is a great opportunity for someone with a minimum of 3 years of experience who is eager to grow their technical skills and gain hands‑on experience in software development.

Job Requirements:

• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), including queries and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, or TFS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in additional languages will be an added advantage, particularly in supporting communication with regional stakeholders and clients.
