The Role/Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager (IT) to oversee a portfolio of fast-moving IT projects. You will be the key person responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects from conception to deployment according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of clients, team members and third‑party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop detailed project plans to track progress, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on‑time, within scope, and within budget.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications.
• Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Implement and adhere to standard project management principles.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including risk registers and status reports.

Quality & Performance

• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven 2 – 3 years experience in any lead roles within a project in the IT sector, with active participation in the full project lifecycle for fast‑moving projects.
• Solid technical background with an understanding of software development and web technologies.
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi‑tasking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an advantage.

Preferential Advantage

• Experience or knowledge related to Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems, logistics, or related IT projects is a significant advantage.
