Job summary

A leading consumer products company in Malaysia is seeking a candidate to assist in process management within glove manufacturing. The role includes maintaining standard documents, conducting lab experiments, and ensuring safety compliance. Ideal candidates should have a Polymer or Chemistry degree along with experience in manufacturing. Proficiency in English and knowledge of chemistry and polymers is essential.

Qualifications

  • Preferably a Polymer or Chemistry degree holder with experience in glove manufacturing.
  • Knowledge in chemistry, polymers, and formulation; mechanical elements knowledge would be a plus.
  • Speaks and writes English, computer literate.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Process Manager & Superintendent with standard group documents.
  • Measure efficiency of remedial actions and update production team.
  • Conduct laboratory/manufacturing line experiments following protocols.
  • Compile & analyze test results database and document findings.
  • Observe HEC guidance and report unsafe conditions before conducting experiments.

Job Duties
  • To assist Process Manager & Process Superintendent in maintaining and updating standard group documents (ISO 9001) detailing line and off‑line setting parameters (chlorination and post‑cure).
  • To assist Process Superintendent in the list of Process department projects & KPI objectives assigned to the Process department.
  • To measure the efficiency of remedial actions taken (Kaizen teams + daily production meeting) and be responsible to accurately update the feedback to the production team for the actions that required a lab assessment before trying it on the manufacturing line.
  • To be able to conduct laboratory / manufacturing line experiments / product testing following existing protocols.
  • Ability to compile & analyze test results database, to draw a sound and logical conclusion, to properly document and share experiments and conclusions, using the existing ISO quality system.
  • To strictly observe all HEC (safety, health, environment) guidance when carrying out duty, to report any unsafe conditions/acts, and to always consider safety rules prior to conducting any unusual experiment.
