Job summary

A property management firm in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Legal Executive with a Degree in Law and at least three years of relevant experience. Responsibilities
  • Monitor and review the progress and status of on‑going legal cases.
  • Liaise with external parties including legal firms, government agencies, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders to ensure timely responses and compliance.
  • Draft and review basic legal‑related documents, contracts, agreements, and correspondence with guidance from senior personnel.
  • Assist in ensuring documents and internal policies comply with the latest statutory or regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly legal reports and documentation for management review.
  • Assist in developing and updating compliance checklists based on current statutory obligations.
  • Represent the company for basic legal matters such as document submissions and liaison with councils, regulators, and government agencies as required.
  • Support the monitoring and follow‑up of legal and compliance issues relating to Joint Management Body (JMB) matters.
  • Undertake any other administrative or ad‑hoc tasks related to legal functions as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Degree in Law with at least three (3) years of experience in legal practice and/or in‑house counsel roles, preferably gained in reputable companies or law firms.
  • Good understanding of housing legislation and regulations, contract management, corporate governance, corporate secretarial procedures and relevant Malaysian laws and regulations.
  • Strong drafting, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of management and external parties.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Malay.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and initiative; can work independently.
