The Junior IT Project Manager assists in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals. This role supports senior project managers in daily operations, project documentation, stakeholder communication, and progress monitoring. This position is required to work fully on-site in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of project plans, schedules, and milestone trackers.
- Coordinate requirement‑gathering sessions and consolidate information from stakeholders.
- Organise meetings, follow up on action items, and ensure clear communication across teams.
- Assist in managing project resources and prioritising tasks.
Execution & Progress Monitoring
- Track project progress and maintain updated project dashboards or status sheets.
- Identify potential delays or issues and elevate them for timely resolution.
- Assist in coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case preparation and logging defects.
- Ensure that deliverables meet expected quality standards before deployment.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, progress reports, and project documentation.
- Communicate changes, updates, and upcoming activities to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain effective relationships with cross‑functional teams.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date project documentation including scope documents, schedules, risk logs, and test results.
- Support the preparation of weekly/monthly project updates for management review.
- Ensure proper version control and documentation organisation throughout the project lifecycle.
Process, Governance & Compliance
- Support adherence to project governance frameworks, SOPs, and change management procedures.
- Assist with risk identification, tracking, and mitigation planning.
- Ensure that all activities align with company standards, policies, and project requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Project Management, or related field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in project coordination or administration are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of project management concepts (scope, timeline, risk, testing).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
