Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join The Plan as a Junior Interior Designer. In this full‑time role based in Kuala Lumpur, you will work closely with the Director and Senior Designer/Manager, and design solutions in Kitchen and Wardrobe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and develop creative interior design concepts
  • Prepare design sketches, drawings, and 3D visualizations to effectively communicate design ideas
  • Assist with the selection of appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings to bring design concepts to life
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and standards
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or a related field
  • 1‑2 years of experience in an interior design, construction, or property development prefered.
  • Strong technical skills in AutoCAD software, Sketchup, 3D Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design software
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Positive attitude, highly motivated, and team‑oriented.
  • Passion for staying up‑to‑date with the latest trends and innovations in interior design
