Job summary

A leading safety management firm in Malaysia is looking for an HSE Officer to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will develop policies, conduct training, and perform risk assessments in a manufacturing environment. Prospective applicants should have at least one year of relevant experience and a degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field, along with preferred professional certifications like NEBOSH or IOSH. The position offers a competitive salary of up to RM5,500.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the facility complies with HSE regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop, implement, and update HSE policies, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and hazard identification.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track and analyze incident statistics to prevent recurrence.
  • Plan and deliver HSE training programs (PPE usage, fire safety, chemical handling, machine safety, emergency response, etc.).
  • Ensure workers understand and follow safety rules and procedures.
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections, equipment audits, and safety walkthroughs.
  • Monitor the condition and operation of safety systems (fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, emergency exits, alarms).
  • Maintain up-to-date HSE records, permits, MSDS/SDS documents, and inspection logs.
  • Prepare HSE performance reports for management review.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans (fire, chemical spill, medical emergencies).
Job Requirements
