Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using Python for data processing or automation.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, aggregations and query optimization basics.
• Understanding of ETL concepts and how data moves across systems.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) approaches such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail when working with data quality issues.
• Clear communication when explaining issues, progress and tradeoffs.
• Ability to learn quickly and adopt new tools and ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Python and SQL.
• Troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Write clean, well-documented code and follow engineering best practices.
• Support releases by using tools and practices like version control, CI/CD and containerization.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to understand data needs and delivery priorities.
• Monitor pipeline performance and improve reliability and efficiency.
• Keep up with new data engineering practices and apply learnings to day-to-day work.
