Job summary

A legal firm in Johor Bahru is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to assist lawyers with various conveyancing matters such as sub-sale and project cases, bank loan documentation, and estate matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the field, possess strong English and Malay communication skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to liaise with clients and government authorities effectively.

Job Description
  • To assist lawyers in preparing, attending and handling conveyancing matters including sub‑sale and project cases, estate matters, tenancy, bank loan documentation, etc.;
  • Experienced in handling conveyancing matters (i.e. direct purchase (SPA & Loan) from developers, Sub‑sale with title and no title (SPA & Loan), Auction case, Perfection of Title, Perfection of Charge, Transfer of Properties, Discharge/Satisfaction of Charge/Deed of Receipt and Reassignment) and execution of complete process;
  • Able to handle a case from preparation of SPA and load documentation to advise drawdown;
  • To maintain and monitor closely all files progress to ensure timely and accurate completion of work;
  • Able to liaise and communicate effectively with related parties such as clients, developers, bank officers and government bodies;
  • Experienced in handling and processing LPPSA and commercial banks loan documentation and systems;
  • Familiar/experienced with land offices portals, stamp office portals, banks portals and able to liaise with clients and government authorities e.g. land office, stamp office, Inland Revenue Board, etc;
  • Ensure all relevant information and documents are updated and maintain accurate records;
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and complete tasks quickly in an efficient manner;
  • Meticulous, detail‑oriented, possess strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities;
  • Any other duties and responsibilities that the firm may assign from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Individuals having SPM certificate and/or other qualifications.
  • Experience of at least 2 years in Conveyancing field.
  • Strong English and Malay writing and communication skill is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is a must.
  • Willing to be based in Adda Heights, Johor Bahru
