Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia is looking for a Junior Account Executive/Senior Account Assistant to manage daily accounting tasks, process invoices, and ensure compliance with accounting policies. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, has 1–3 years of related experience or strong internship exposure, and is proficient in MS Excel and accounting software like SQL. This role offers a supporting environment for fresh graduates eager to grow in their accounting careers.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of working experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing or food industry.
  • Fresh graduates with strong internship experience will be considered for Junior role.
  • Knowledge of SST, basic costing, and inventory accounting is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily accounting entries including AR/AP, bank transactions, and general ledger updates.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, debit notes, and credit notes in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable and ensure timely collection.
  • Process vendor invoices, staff claims, and payments with proper documentation.
  • Assist in monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and petty cash.
  • Maintain accurate and organized filing of accounting documents and records.
  • Liaise with internal departments for cost allocations and inventory movements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Support audit and stocktake exercises when required.
