Job summary

Ams Osram is seeking a data-focused IT professional to design and optimize SQL queries and dashboards for high-volume machine data in a global setting. You will build production-grade Power BI reports and enable product lineage analytics for yield optimization.

The role requires 5+ years in IT, strong MSSQL, Power BI, and Agile experience, plus scripting skills (Python/C#/PowerShell) and excellent English communication across regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 years IT experience with MSSQL and Production‑grade Power BI.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably FE‑BE semiconductor.
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe) is a plus.
• Scripting experience (Python, C#, or PowerShell) for data pipelines.
• Strong English communication with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high reliability and accuracy across all factory floor reports.

Central Functions support the board as well as the business in achieving its strategic objectives. These are, for example, Information Technology, Human Resources, Logistics, Compliance, Finance and many more.

• Design and optimize SQL queries/models for high-volume machine data.
• Build, deploy and maintain production-grade dashboards using DAX and Power Query.
• Extract data from bigdata storage to provide products lineage data (lot genealogy) to enable yield analysis.
• Ensure high reliability and accuracy across all factory floor reports.
• Work with Equipment and Automation teams to translate tool signals into metrics. Align with global teams in Malaysia, China and Germany.

• Bachelor’s degree and above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of related working experience in IT, Advanced MSSQL and Production-grade Power BI knowledge.
• Experience in aligning requirements with business and guiding and consulting.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in FE-BE semiconductor.
• Experience in applying agile methodologies like Scrum / SAFe is an added advantage.
• Scripting experience (Python, C#, or PowerShell) for data pipeline automation.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with other team members and relevant stakeholders in the company.
• Experience working with global colleagues is an added advantage.
• Very good command in spoken and written English for communicating with global teams and stakeholders.
