Job description

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and maintain IT-related computer software, servers, hardware infrastructure, and network connectivity to ensure effective and continuous operations.
• Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve delivery issues by designing and deploying appropriate workarounds to meet committed requirements and job deadlines.
• Design and implement new server or storage infrastructures, and perform day-to-day monitoring, capacity planning, and management of the existing environment.
• Provide technical support both proactively and reactively, ensuring systems remain stable and perform within the respective Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Evaluate and apply necessary operating system security patches, hotfixes, service packs, and hardware updates.
• Participate in the implementation and management of server, virtualization, backup, and storage-related projects.
• Responsible for managing data centre and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) servers, ensuring system readiness and reliability.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in the banking industry, with exposure to Wintel, system, and storage administration.
• Microsoft, VMware, or equivalent storage certifications (or other related certifications) are an added advantage.
• Experience with any of the following layered products is required (at least one mandatory; knowledge of two or more is an added advantage): DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, IIS, FTP, and strong understanding of TCP/IP concepts.
• Experience in architecting Windows solutions for customer environments and managing high-availability server infrastructures.
• Preferably qualified in, or knowledgeable about, ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
