A leading Malaysian organization is seeking a qualified professional to develop and manage impactful training programs within the Digital Technologies Division. Responsibilities include strategic planning for IT resource management and conducting data analysis for informed decision-making. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, possesses strong analytical and communication skills, and has a minimum of four years of relevant experience. This is a permanent position based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is the bridge between talent and technology, ensuring the Digital Technologies Division remains agile, skilled, and ready to lead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. It involves developing and managing impactful training programs aligned with the digital strategy, coordinating leadership, technical, and functional upskilling initiatives, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic IT Capabilities Planning:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Division strategies that are aligned with corporate objectives, identify opportunities and anticipate future trends.
  • Participate in assessment and activities of IT resources needs and capabilities.
  • Identify future requirements based on business and technology trends to support enterprise strategic objectives.
  • Analyse IT resource and capability data, trends, and metrics to make data driven decisions for IT strategic development.

Learning & Development:

  • Conduct research for training programs suitable to meet the talent strategic objectives for the Division
  • Identify, evaluate and propose suitable programs to be implemented to enhance employee engagement, retention, customer focused solutions and continuous quality improvement.
  • Assist to develop the Division’s Strategic Leadership, Technical & Functional programs
  • Coordinate internal related trainings and knowledge sharing sessions
  • Participate in projects deployment related to resource capability building and others as required for the Division and Enterprise
  • Collaborate to instil a technology culture mindset in driving innovation and ensuring the Division remains competitive in rapidly evolving technological landscape
  • Formulate and compile the training and development budget activity and collaborate with EPF Learning Centre for overall assessment and approval
  • Establish and control training budget for the Division

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track, compile and maintain the Division Learning & Development and IT Resource Augmentation database
  • Utilize analytics and data to identify the trends, gaps and opportunities pertaining to resource management and capability development
  • Prepare reports and presentation for management reporting
  • Develop proposal to facilitate informed decision making

IT Resource Planning:

  • Plan and manage the IT Division short-term and long-term resource requirements and manpower projection via IT Resource Augmentation
  • Manage the contract with IT Resource Augmentation panels and budget utilization
  • Communicate and liaise with Account Manager from IT resource augmentation panels to ensure performance meeting SLA, resolve any dispute and implement improvement initiatives as required
  • Monitor and manage IT Resource Augmentation progress within internal departments of IT Division and panels throughout the process from requests, selection, onboarding and offboarding of the IT resources based on the standard operating procedures
  • Assist and provide support for any issue resolution
  • Identify and propose areas of improvements for overall process and management

Secretariat Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to key management meetings such as Division Talent Committee, IT Resource Committee, and others.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a Malaysian citizen.
  • Passed the Malay Language subject including the oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree with Honors in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification from a local or international institution of higher learning recognized by the Government, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in technology management or human resource role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Have passion with technology, dynamic and a desire to learn new things.
