The IT & OT Infrastructure and Operations Manager ensures that local IT frameworks in the APAC region align with corporate initiatives. The role oversees IT activities in the OT (Industrial IT) area across APAC and contributes to shaping the global IT strategy, while actively participating in corporate initiatives and supporting both local and regional IT operations.
What You'll Be Doing?
- Microsoft Solutions (Active Directory, Email service, Office suite, Teams) which provide basic IT tools and a Communication & Collaboration framework
- Server Administration, also oriented to cloud activities in our Data Center
- Networking Management
- Corporate and local Help Desk activities within the network and systems area (HW, SW, LAN‑WAN, SAP BC, 3rd party systems)
- Coordinate external local resources
- Projects in the I&O area: estimating, planning, mobilizing, executing and successfully closing projects
- Help solidify and evolve IT support for the business
- Be part of the deployment of procedures and implementing best practices (ITIL/COBIT)
- Work on AI projects concerning Infrastructure and Operations with the rest of the global team
- OT (Industrial IT) management in APAC area, and contributing to manage it in the rest of the Group
- Support Microsoft Solutions and participate in projects to improve the utilization of the tools
- Participate in IT project specification, development and implementation within project teams managed by functional leaders (i.e. Productivity Leader, Data Center Leader, Head of I&O)
- Cooperate with onshore, offshore and near shore workforces
- Support APAC users
- Provide support for Network, LAN‑WAN and help in related technical & security issues
- Contribute to the Cloud Data Center strategy and day‑by‑day activities
- Help specify and set up laptops, thin clients, cell phones, etc. for APAC users
- OT area Management in APAC, with the possibility (depending on skills) to manage initiatives for the whole Group
Who Are They Looking For?
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the IT field
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies
- Strong understanding of OT / Industrial IT environments (e.g. plant systems, automation, industrial networks)
- Good knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including IT and OT security
- Good knowledge of cloud and edge server management
- Experience with Microsoft environments, including Active Directory (AD), Microsoft 365, and SharePoint
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL or COBIT
- Experience in project planning and project management
- Experience working with external vendors and consultants
- Solid understanding of budget planning, cost identification, and budget management
- Knowledge of social collaboration tools
- Proficient in verbal and written English communication
- Strong presentation and people skills
- Able to think logically and work in a structured way
- Results‑driven, self‑motivated, and able to work independently in a changing environment
- Customer‑focused with a positive, proactive attitude
- Availability for travel up to 20% of the time (mainly – but not only – in APAC)
- Occasional off‑shift work will be necessary to support larger project implementation, application changes and/or conversions, typically performed during night‑time or weekends
- Knowledge of and commitment to best practices in delivering IT support and professional consulting services
