What's the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Engineer to manage and support our enterprise IT infrastructure. This role involves overseeing hosting and storage systems, infrastructure applications, and digital platforms including cloud services (IaaS, PaaS), and SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT services while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
- Administer and maintain hosting environments (on-premises and cloud-based).
- Manage enterprise storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes.
- Support and optimize infrastructure applications (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, monitoring tools).
- Operate and enhance digital platforms including:
- Cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offers
- Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, ServiceNow)
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across the IT landscape.
- Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project delivery and service improvements Document configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
What you bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Proficiency in managing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS), backup tools, and disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Terraform).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, Azure Monitor).
- Understanding of database concepts (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
