A leading Malaysian automotive components manufacturer is seeking an experienced IT Manager to develop and execute a digitalization roadmap that supports automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives. The ideal candidate will manage overall IT infrastructure, optimize software applications, and lead ERP modernization efforts. With 7–10 years of IT experience, including managerial roles, candidates should also have strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. This position offers a dynamic work environment focused on innovation and technology adoption.
Develop and execute a comprehensive digitalization roadmap to support automation, productivity improvement, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Identify technology gaps and propose scalable digital solutions that enhance manufacturing efficiency and business decision-making.
Lead initiatives to integrate data flows across production, quality, supply chain, and commercial operations.
Manage the overall IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cybersecurity, system backups, disaster recovery, and hardware fleet management.
Ensure system uptime, reliability, and adherence to IT governance standards.
Oversee vendor relationships and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and high-quality delivery of IT services.
Review current applications and software tools to identify improvement opportunities, process bottlenecks, and integration gaps.
Lead optimization projects to streamline workflows, improve user experience, and enhance data accuracy.
Provide guidance and support to internal users across departments to maximize application utilization.
Assess the performance and limitations of existing ERP systems.
Develop business requirements, evaluate available ERP solutions, and propose the most suitable option based on operational needs and long‑term scalability.
Lead the ERP implementation lifecycle, including vendor selection, project planning, data migration, system configuration, user training, and change management.
Ensure successful go‑live, post‑implementation support, and continuous system improvement.
Lead and develop the IT team, fostering a high‑performance culture focused on service excellence and innovation.
Collaborate closely with production, engineering, finance, procurement, HR, and management to align IT strategies with business objectives.
Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to leadership teams, ensuring transparency and informed decision‑making.
Support the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and governance standards.
Assist in IT asset management, software licensing, and system documentation.
Provide user support and training to enhance system utilization and digital adoption.
Assist in audit activities, compliance reviews, and business continuity preparedness.
Support cross‑departmental digital initiatives and improvement projects as required.

Authority to oversee IT system operations and make decisions regarding IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and system performance.
Authority to evaluate, recommend, and engage IT vendors, consultants, and solution providers (subject to management approval).
Authority to develop and enforce IT policies, standards, cybersecurity protocols, and data governance procedures.
Authority to approve system access, manage IT assets, and lead company‑wide digital projects including ERP implementation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Professional certifications (optional but advantageous): ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CCNA, or equivalent.
Certifications in IT service management, project management, networking, or cybersecurity.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in IT roles, including 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Proven experience in IT operations, IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
Strong exposure to manufacturing environments; experience in automotive or precision engineering industries is an added advantage.
Demonstrated experience in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
Experience leading digital transformation projects and managing cross‑functional teams.
Knowledge of manufacturing operations, production systems, supply chain processes, and quality management requirements.
Understanding of digitalization strategies and Industry 4.0 concepts.
Knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity standards, data protection practices, and business continuity requirements.
Familiarity with process mapping, system integration, and data flow management across departments.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
Technical leadership in IT systems, networks, and applications.
Strong project management, planning, and vendor management skills.
Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a process optimization mindset.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
