Purpose Statement: Drives strategic software asset management initiatives, focusing on advanced analytics, automation, and continuous improvement. This role requires deep expertise in complex licensing models and a proactive approach to risk management.

Key Job Accountabilities:

Strategic SAM Program Development and Implementation: This encompasses developing and implementing advanced SAM strategies, including automation and predictive analytics, as well as establishing and maintaining comprehensive software license policies and procedures. It's about setting the overall direction and framework.

License Compliance and Audit Management: This focuses on leading complex software license audits and compliance programs across various platforms and environments. It also includes managing and mitigating software license risks and compliance issues to ensure adherence and minimize liabilities.

Vendor Management and License Optimization: This accountability centers on negotiating and managing enterprise-level software license agreements to secure favorable terms and optimize costs. It also involves conducting in-depth analysis of software usage and costs to identify opportunities for optimization.

SAM Technology and Cloud Management: This area covers the implementation and optimization of SAM tools and technologies for advanced license management. It also specifically includes the implementation and management of cloud-based software licensing, recognizing its growing importance.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Expert Advisory: This accountability highlights the leadership aspect of the role, including leading cross-functional teams to optimize software assets. It also emphasizes providing expert advice and guidance to senior management on critical software licensing matters, positioning the role as a key resource for strategic decision-making.

All GT team members are responsible for upholding the organization's cybersecurity posture by adhering to security policies and procedures, actively participating in training, protecting data and systems, actively identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and promptly reporting any suspicious activity or potential security incidents.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in software license management, with a focus on enterprise environments. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 6 years of related experience in software license management may be considered. Equivalent experience in software asset management, demonstrating a comparable depth of knowledge and expertise, will also be considered.

Other Qualifications:

Expert knowledge of complex software licensing models, SAM tools, and compliance regulations.

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing advanced SAM strategies, including automation techniques and predictive analytics.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex licensing agreements and usage data.

Excellent leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
