Job summary

An establishing ICT Infrastructure firm in Malaysia is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer responsible for installing and managing computer hardware, monitoring network performance, and ensuring business continuity. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field. Experience in PHP frameworks and cloud computing is advantageous. This position offers a salary range of RM 3,500 - RM 5,000.

Responsibilities

• Install new computer hardware including servers and networking equipment.
• Monitor network performance to meet business objectives.
• Perform disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Coordinate with IT staff to ensure smooth operation of networks.
• Perform system administration tasks including OS and software installations.
• Configure computers for optimal performance.
• Maintain computer networks by troubleshooting issues.
• Manage security through OS patches and firewalls.
• Provide technical support for computer systems.

Skills

Experience in any PHP framework

Experience working in the cloud computing sector

Education

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Our client is an established ICT Infrastructure Software and Services company with more than 22 years of proven track record in the region. They do market, sell, implement and assist a suite of ICT solutions that cover the areas of system infrastructure management, cloud computing, backup/disaster recovery, etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Installing new computer hardware such as servers, workstations, storage devices, and networking equipment
• Monitoring network performance to ensure that it meets business objectives
• Performing disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity
• Coordinating with other IT staff to ensure smooth operation of computer networks and applications
• Performing system administration tasks such as installing operating systems and software applications on computers
• Configuring computers for optimal performance by installing applications, updating system settings, and troubleshooting problems
• Maintaining computer networks by troubleshooting software and hardware problem
• Managing security by installing operating systems patches and updates, configuring firewalls and intrusion detection systems, and reviewing logs for signs of unauthorized activity
• Providing technical support for computer systems by troubleshooting problems and recommending solutions

Job Requirements

• At least a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields
• Experience in any PHP framework will be an advantage
• Experience working in the cloud computing sector will be an added advantage

Remuneration

RM 3,500 - RM5,000

Working Hours

9am - 6pm (Monday - Friday)
