A regional job portal is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide essential hardware and software assistance. The ideal candidate will ensure network security, perform data backups, install and configure networking equipment, and respond to various IT issues. A diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required, along with at least one year of relevant experience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to solve problems are essential.
Providing computer related hardware and software support.
Ensure and evaluate company network security and connectivity.
Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, virus protection, and email security.
Perform data backups to ensure all company-owned work is saved.
Install and update network system improvements.
Install and configure wireless networking equipment. Monitor servers, LAN/WAN, and Wi-Fi to ensure full coverage.
Assist with the design, implementation, and support of new software and features.
Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
Provide helpdesk and technical support either by phone or remote access.
Oversee troubleshooting for system errors.
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
Experience working with network and server management support.
Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, hardware, and upgrades.
Minimum 1 years' experience in an information technology role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think logically, attention to detail and good problem solving skills.
Team spirited, responsible and initiative with positive work attitude.
Fast learner, self-driven, self-motivation and proactive.
